The Ministry of Education, through its Music Department, continues to promote the performing arts with the annual Christmas Music Festival.

Questelles Government School

Schools throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines performed and were assessed in their respective zones between November 6 and 10. All schools sang the set carol Do You See What I See for which coaches received an audio file of the accompaniment, along with lyrics and the score sheets. The preparation process allowed for flexibility and innovation. The schools also presented other items including choral speeches, instrumentals, vocal renditions, as well as dance and dramatic pieces.

Dorsetshire Hill Government School

On Tuesday December 12, the most outstanding items from the various zones will be featured in an exhibition concert at the Faith Temple Church in New Montrose from 1 p.m. The schools selected to perform in the grande finale are Bequia Anglican Primary, Calliaqua Anglican, Chateaubelair Methodist, C.W Prescod Primary, Diamond Government, Dorsetshire Hill Government, Owia Government, Georgetown Government, Lodge Village Government, New Prospect Primary, Sandy Bay Anglican, Stubbs Government, School for Children with Special Needs Kingstown, St. Mary’s R.C and Tourama Government.
